GUSt / Alexander Gast’s architectural practice

We help you decide what to build — and develop the design.

We develop site development strategies, masterplans and architectural concepts for developers, property owners, local authorities and development agencies. We help set the direction and resolve key design decisions before detailed design begins.

02 / Approach

We make the key decisions before detailed design

The early stages offer the most flexibility to adjust the development programme, building size and layout. We test the main options and develop a concept that can guide detailed design.

Waterfront public realm design
Tech park concept in Vladivostok
Dormitory concept in an urban setting
Public space design
Office complex architecture
Multi-storey car park
Alternative public building for a tech park
Residential house renovation
Office and industrial building in Vladivostok
01

See the project as a whole

We connect the site, programme, constraints, architecture and public space. Individual decisions have to work as one system.

02

Establish the foundation

We define the uses and layout of the site, building types and volumes, architectural character and public spaces. The scope is tailored to each project.

03

Stay involved as it develops

We hand the concept over to the team responsible for detailed design. Where ongoing support is agreed, we help develop the details and preserve the key design decisions.

The result is clarity on what to build, how it should work, and which decisions must not be lost at later stages.

GUSt — Alexander Gast’s architectural practice

I personally lead every project — from the first conversation and development of the brief through to the final concept. The team is assembled for the specific task, but the key architectural decisions remain in my hands.

04 / Contact

Let’s discuss your project and the next step.

Send the site address, existing surveys or plans, or a short description of what you need. That is enough to start a conversation.
